The event which will be held at the McFarland Fire & Rescue Station, 5915, Milwaukee St. McFarland will kickstart the EMS week. Meet your local Fire & EMS Volunteers as they cook you up to a wonderful pancake breakfast!

National EMS Week is an annual event that features lots of activities that are planned with this year’s theme being “Beyond the call.” The week-long event exemplifies the excellent services provided every day, under any circumstances by hundreds of thousands of EMS providers who serve their communities diligently.

National EMS Week will take place between May 19 and 25, 2019. The week-long series of events include national and local activities to honor EMS providers (firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, first responders, and police), and to raise public awareness about safety and health issues, and what to do in a medical emergency.

The cost for this all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast event will be $7 for adults and $4 for children. In addition to enjoying a hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausage and eggs, coffee, juice and milk, kids and their families and other visitors will have the opportunity to do other things like getting an up-close look at fire engines and ambulance, meeting McFarland’s firefighters and emergency medical service providers, enjoying inflatable slide/bounce house, participating in 50/50 Raffle and being entertained by costumed characters. This is an excellent family activity and a great opportunity to brush up on fire and life safety at home and in the community. So come meet your local firefighter/ EMS Volunteers, have fun with them and check out all the equipment they have to use in an emergency.
