Los Angeles, California Feb 4, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - YouTuber and Music Producer Maxwell LeVan released the one-take, live studio version of his dramatically fictitious ode “Trash Panda” on Thursday. The stripped-down piano record sounds strikingly similar to the original - also solely piano - but the vocals are clearly different. He sings about his longing to rekindle a friendship with an obese, talking raccoon. The track was originally released in May 2020, and the satirical song was widely accepted by humans and raccoons alike.
Hundreds of TikTok users chimed in to share their thoughts on the song, and many raccoon owners showed videos of their raccoons with “Trash Panda” playing in the background. LeVan has embraced the joking manner in which most of his songs are perceived and continues to meet the demand for light-hearted, entertaining content in this scary, uncertain time.
This isn't LeVan's first song. He is widely known for another comical, titled "Toe Bamba". The song gained a significant boost in popularity after it was used in multiple viral videos on TikTok. LeVan said, "You know, I have some resentment towards the fact that I could lock myself in my room for weeks and come out with nothing, but we go in the library during lunchtime and come out with a multi-platinum record. It makes no sense."
