Conroe, Texas Oct 12, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Master Hughes Productions announces The Beast of Whisper Ridge, an independent creature horror film directed by filmmaker Master Hughes, who also appears in the production as The Camper.
The film follows Mark, a man who dismisses local legends and warnings before venturing into the secluded woods of Whisper Ridge. What begins as a journey into a remote wilderness turns into a frightening encounter as disturbing events challenge his assumptions and place him in danger. The story draws on themes of local folklore, unexplained threats, and the risks of entering unfamiliar territory without taking warnings seriously.
Through its wilderness setting and creature feature premise, The Beast of Whisper Ridge explores a familiar horror question: what happens when a person assumes that the stories others tell are nothing more than superstition? The film’s suspense develops as Mark’s experience in the woods becomes increasingly dangerous.
Master Hughes leads the project as director and performer, bringing the story to independent horror audiences interested in creature features, cryptid-inspired stories, and suspense set away from populated areas. The production is intended for viewers who enjoy horror narratives built around mysterious locations, unsettling encounters, and the possibility that local legends may conceal something dangerous.
The official trailer offers a preview of the film’s atmosphere, including glimpses of the wilderness setting and the threats confronting those who enter it.
