Meg Stone only woman honored as Legend in the Field by College Strength Coaches Association

Miami, Florida Oct 1, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - SportsEdTV is proud to announce its appointment of Meg Stone as Senior Contributor.

Meg Stone, Director of the East Tennessee State University Olympic Training Site, also acts as Director of the Center of Excellence for Sport Science and Coach Education. The Olympic Training site, with the reorganization of the USOC, is now the Center of Excellence Training Site with the same focus on elite-level athletes.

“Meg Stone is a sports treasure and the fact that her NCAA record-setting discus throw still stands is testimony to her prowess as an athlete which equals her success as a coach and our community will benefit greatly from her leadership and inspired instruction,” said SportsEdTV Founder and Chairman Robert Mazzucchelli.

She has coached several Olympians in the jumps throws and sprints both and while working in the university strength and conditioning system she coached many to-be-players in the NBA, NFL and MLB.

“ In 1999 she returned to her native Scotland to become the country’s  National Track and Field Coach the first woman in Europe ever to do so, growing the international regard which SportsEdTV’s audiences around the world appreciate,” added Victor Bergonzoli, CEO of the FREE, unlimited online sports instruction portal.

Recently Meg Stone was presented with the prestigious “Legends in the Field Award” by the College Strength Coaches Association the only woman to be so honored. The same month she was made a fellow of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  She has received the honor of being the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award winner and in 2019 Meg was inducted into the Pac 12 Hall of Honor.
