Born in Wakefield in the North of England, she has always been an artist until recently, when she decided that the title no longer applies to her. She dropped out after completing university because she did not want to be suffocated by the Art Bubble. Lucas then returned to where she grew up, Leeds, and spent twenty years as a poet in the Leeds underground art scene. With her wish to write for a long time, she produced 6 books of poetry, along with many scripts for books and plays. However, the spirit in her heart did not budge and she spent about ten years living on the streets to find out what was out there. Lucas’ book Dada Nihilism Too documents in reality what is out there and gives viewers the details of reality. Already available on Kindle, this book will be coming out in paperback in a few months. Apart from writing, another art form that got her interested was photography. With her photography, she enhances the image so that there is no barrier between the image and the perceiver.
