VolunTIME Keeper, a new tech platform built by Long Island local Jennifer Cunningham, is on a mission to change how students give back to their communities — and how schools and nonprofits track and celebrate that impact.
What started as one mom’s frustration with paperwork and signatures for her son’s National Honor Society hours has grown into a platform designed to modernize and elevate the student volunteer experience.
“There’s nothing else out there like it,” said one VTK beta parent. “It’s not just about logging hours — it’s about giving people, especially our kids, a real way to connect with their community and make an impact.”
VolunTIME Keeper is more than a tracking tool — it’s a digital home for community connection. Students can browse real opportunities, set service goals, and see their progress in real time. Schools gain oversight. Nonprofits gain access to a new generation of helpers. And parents gain peace of mind.
“We talk a lot about preparing kids for the future — but service is how we teach them to lead today,” said Jennifer Cunningham, founder of VolunTIME Keeper. “This isn’t just about logging hours. It’s about helping young people find purpose through giving back.”
The platform was developed by Lighthouse Technology Solutions, a woman-owned software company based in Patchogue. Guided by the belief that tech should uplift communities, Lighthouse is focused on building smart, inclusive tools that create real-world impact.
