Long island doctor creates an FDA-cleared Off-grid Health Assistant

A new device called ChecKit can help you manage your health at home. No phone or internet needed.

New York City, New York Jan 8, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - A long-island physician has created an offline talking device that speaks CPR and other content in case of a medical emergency. The device is called ChecKit and includes over 1 gigabyte of medical audio broken into 60+ medical topics. “I wanted to make something that would work fast and not require a phone or internet connection to work,” says Dr. Talati, the creator of the device.

Although the device is yet to be officially launched, it has generated some interest given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As many people are staying home, this device is well-suited as part of a home healthcare strategy or those seeking to have a health assistant in case medical care is not readily available. It also has garnered interest from campers and those that travel into remote areas that may not have a network connection.

Dr. Talati expects the device to officially launch in April 2021 and will announce the actual launch of the device to an email list, join here.
