East Orange, New Jersey Sep 18, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - L.M. Bennett Books launches with the professional debut of author, L.M. Bennett’s, "The Accidental Tsundere: Dating for Late Bloomers, Loners and Misfits". Edited by industry veteran and LGBTQ activist, Jay Blotcher, The Accidental Tsundere features 20 riveting chapters of anecdotal, nonfiction stories of a late-blooming dater. Bennett provides the in-your-face, gut punch and, often, funny, advice to help readers rid themselves of toxic people and habits. With the electronic release date of Sept. 25, 2018, and the physical release date of Nov. 1, 2018, Bennett looks forward taking readers on a ride through her words.
After having bariatric surgery, Bennett’s eyes saw the dating experience differently. Combining real-life stories on relatable topics with popular culture references, Bennett felt as a black woman in the LGBTQ community, it was time to let the proverbial cat out of the bag. Touching on topics like dating, sexuality, toxic behaviors, and body image, "The Accidental Tsundere" leaves nothing on the table.
In the making since 2015, all 146 pages of "The Accidental Tsundere" is a project of self-love, dedication, and cringe-worthy narration filled with the voices of the everyday woman of color on the dating scene. After laughing off the idea of writing a book about dating advice, Bennett realized that her experiences were not hers alone and that it was time women of color on the dating scene heard from someone who looks like her. Just like The Accidental Tsundere, during these experiences, one’s emotions can run hot and cold, but how one navigates the waters will determine how he or she comes out on the other end.
This is the debut for, both L.M. Bennett Books and L.M. Bennett, the author, but Bennett hopes that it will not be the last. In a time where entrepreneurship among black women is skyrocketing, Bennett is hopeful that she can “increase the narrative of being the face of my own imprint and I hope to create the content I want to see.” Bennett continues with her purpose for writing this book, “I want others to know that they are not alone, whether they are the 25-year-old virgin or the LGBTQ person discovering themselves late in the game, they are not alone, and it is alright.”
