Miami, Florida Aug 20, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Alfonso Terán, the Venezuelan-Mexican singer-songwriter hailed as one of the most innovative voices of his generation, introduces his latest project: Latin Country Music, an EP that breaks boundaries and sets the stage for a new genre.
With this release, Terán becomes the first Latin artist to pioneer a sound that fuses the emotional storytelling of American country with the rhythmic pulse of Latin music. The six-track EP, recorded live between Miami, Nashville, and New York City, showcases a wide palette of instruments, including banjo, pedal steel guitar, Venezuelan cuatro, trombone, trumpet, percussion, and acoustic guitar.
Produced by acclaimed Venezuelan producer Arturo Cabrera Brambilla, the EP takes listeners through a musical journey — from tender romantic ballads and bachata-country blends to salsa-driven tracks that highlight the artist’s versatility.
At the heart of the project lies Let It Burn, Terán’s first bilingual single, featuring guitarist Tim Galloway (CMA Best Guitarist winner) and drummer Lee Levin (multi–Latin GRAMMY® and GRAMMY® Award-winner). Sung in both English and Spanish, the track symbolizes Terán’s mission: connecting cultures through music.
Billboard has recognized Alfonso Terán as both an “Artist to Watch” and “Music to Listen To.” His accolades include a 2024 nomination as songwriter and featured artist for children’s group Nifu Nifa, and a 2018 Latin GRAMMY® nomination as graphic designer for the album of legendary Venezuelan singer María Rivas.
“This album is not just about music — it’s about identity,” says Terán. “I wanted to bring my Latin roots together with my years of performing country music in the U.S. and prove that music truly has no borders.”
To support the launch, Terán is preparing a full promotional campaign, including live performances and a Miami showcase, where fans and industry leaders alike will witness the birth of a new movement: Latin Country Music.
