milan, Lombardy Oct 17, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Erbil-based journalist Rojin Fotouhi reports that Kurdish composer and symphonic artist Delzar Abedi Noubahar had several of his musical works featured at Milan Fashion Week 2025, within the Milan Enchanted Collection presented by designer Lara Dizeyee, Creative Director and founder of the brand.
Among the featured compositions was “Ey Weten” with the voice of Hassan Zirak, remixed by Noubahar in 2021, which played during one of the most symbolic moments of the show — the presentation of the sacred flag of Kurdistan. Another piece, “Kizheki Kurdm” with the voice of Mamle, remixed in 2022, was used in the main media post of the collection.
Delzar expressed his gratitude to Lara Dizeyee for including his work, saying:
“I am truly happy and proud that Kurdish music was presented in such a prestigious international event. It shows that both Kurdish music and Kurdish fashion have the power to reach and inspire people all around the world.”
Delzar Abedi Noubahar, with a Master’s degree in Composition from the University of Fine Arts in Tehran, is an accomplished figure in the world of music. He has composed for the string section of the Tehran Orchestra and has collaborated with the Suleymani House of Music. Marking a milestone for Kurdistan, he was the first from the region to enter the prestigious Takashimaya Composition Competition in Japan. His studies in orchestral conducting were guided by Damiana Jurana of the World Youth Orchestra in Ravenna, Italy.
To date, Delzar’s collaborations extend to over 96 Kurdish vocalists, contributing as a composer, arranger, and sound engineer to more than 200 musical works. Among his notable projects are the “Oak Symphony” — inspired by the poetry of Shirko Bikas—and several reimagined versions of tracks by Hassan Zirak and Mohammad Mamali.
