Nashville, Tennessee Jul 12, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - The Cavalla Records Label is proud to announce music artist Kathryn Shipley has made the voting ballot for the 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards in the category of New Artist. Member voting begins on July 13, 2022. Since 1969, the GMA Dove Awards has honored outstanding achievements and excellence in Christian and Gospel Music. The entire Cavalla Records team is thrilled for Kathryn and immensely proud of all that she stands for and is accomplishing in her career through her incredible vocals and positive, motivating music.
The Dove Awards were originally conceptualized, by Gospel singer and songwriter Bill Gaither at a Gospel Music Association board meeting in 1968. The idea of the award represented by a dove gets credited to Gaither and the design for the award itself gets credited to gospel singer Les Beasley and designer Bob McConnell. The first GMA Dove Awards were held at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee in October 1969. In 1971, the awards moved to Nashville.
Shipley says, "God just continues to Bless me I know I say that a lot, but when he continues to sprinkle Blessings my way or maybe I should say huge drops of the most beautiful rain for me to dance in, it is the best feeling in the world. The hard work and obedience to God are paying off! Even though this is just the first ballot round it is just as special as a nomination, which I and our team at Cavalla are hoping will happen.
