His interest in broader social systems led him to complete an Master of Technology in Information Technology from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in Tirunelveli, an Master of Philosophy in Political Science from Madurai Kamaraj University, an Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Madras in Chennai, and a Master of Social Work in Community Development from Annamalai University in Tamil Nadu.
Dr. Joseph extended his academic work to Europe, where he earned two doctoral degrees. He completed a Doctorate in Information and Communication Technologies at the University of the Balearic Islands in Palma under the supervision of Professor Carlos Juiz Garcia. There, he was associated with the Department of Computer Architecture and Engineering and worked within a research group focused on systems, management programs, and digital structures. He completed a second doctoral degree in Migration Studies at the University of Granada under the supervision of Professor Francisco Javier Garcia Castano through the Institute of Migration Studies. This work connected him with the Department of Humanities, Legal and Social Sciences and helped him develop a deep understanding of migration, social integration, and global movement.
Across more than a decade of experience, Dr. Joseph has worked in both academic institutions and industries in India, the United Arab Emirates, the European Union, and Australia. His earlier roles included positions at ICICI Bank in Kerala, NIMS University in Rajasthan, Digital Web and Magnus Info in Delhi, Cloudnet Technologies in Kochi, Manvish Info Solutions in Alwaye, and NGI and Alwaqt Tech Cont LLC in Sharjah. He also worked with Smart Square Tech and other firms in Dubai, Continental Systems USA Inc in Miami, and Airli Pty Ltd and Orbit Australia Pty Ltd in Sydney. In Europe, Dr. Joseph continues to work in the research group led by Professor Carlos Juiz Garcia at the University of the Balearic Islands. His focus includes management programs for research and innovation, structures for digital systems, and initiatives that support research development and knowledge transfer. His academic interests combine technology, social science, and public policy with a special emphasis on how digital systems can support governance and migration-related issues.
Dr. Joseph has contributed to international academic communities as a reviewer and editorial board member for journals connected to information technology, migration, and social sciences. His affiliations include the International Journal of ICT Research in Africa and the Middle East, IGI Global for studies on ICT and migration, Science PG, Springer Nature journals on migration, and several journals in Asia. He also serves as an Ambassador of the ARQUS European University Alliance and has been associated with the Center for Open Science Networks in the United States. He has two elder brothers, Jose Joseph and Robin Joseph, and he is married to Anns Varghese, the youngest daughter of Cherian Varghese and Rachel Varghese Plathanathil. Dr. Joseph holds Indian nationality and has lived in the European Union, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates. He has traveled widely across Europe, the Middle East, and many regions of India. He speaks Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and English, and has also studied Spanish, French, and German.
