Jeep Wrangler V-8 option is being discontinued after the 2024 model

Jeep Wrangler bids farewell to its V-8 option after the 2024 model year

West Lancashire, Lancashire Mar 20, 2024 (Issuewire.com)  - The 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition is the ultimate version of the Rubicon 392 trim, offering a range of impressive features and enhancements. It comes equipped with a powerful Warn winch capable of handling up to 8,000 pounds, a Mopar grille guard, rock sliders, and a half-inch suspension lift that provides exceptional ground clearance of 11.6 inches and a water-fording capability of 34.5 inches. The Final Edition also boasts unique hood and front fender decals.

In addition, the Final Edition showcases the Xtreme 35 Tire Package, which includes 35-inch tires and stunning bronze 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. These additions not only enhance the vehicle's appearance but also contribute to its off-road capabilities.

Inside the Rubicon 392 Final Edition, you'll find luxurious black nappa leather on the 12-way power front seats, accentuated with exquisite Mayan Gold stitching and Tupelo highlights. The attention to detail is evident with the inclusion of a unique shifter medallion, tailgate information plate, fold-out table, toolkit, and air compressor.

The Wrangler Rubicon 392, unveiled in November 2020, is powered by a formidable 6.4-liter V-8 engine that delivers an impressive 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system boasting a 48:1 crawl ratio, this V-8 engine propels the Wrangler from 0-60 mph in an estimated 4.5 seconds and completes the quarter-mile in 13.0 seconds.

It's worth noting that Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, is phasing out V-8 engines. The V-8 Dodge Charger and Challenger have already ceased production after the 2023 model year, making way for new models featuring turbo-6 engines and electric power. The Dodge Durango will also undergo changes, losing its V-8 engine as it transitions to a series of special editions, starting with the SRT 392 AlcHemi.

Jeep has announced that the production of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition will be limited to a total of 3,700 units. Out of these, 3,300 units will be allocated for the U.S., 300 units for Canada, and 100 units for other markets. This exclusivity adds to the appeal of this special edition model.
