Moayyad rejected offers from 3 companies for selling Dronize’s source code of algorithm, one of them for $30,000. The first two offers were from companies based out of Hong Kong and China while the third offer was from a Japan-based company. He rejected the offers because he aims to support local manufacturing and developing drone companies in Saudi Arabia.
Moayyad Khayyat hails from Saudi Arabia and is currently studying AI at the University of Jeddah. He developed an AI algorithm for the safe landing of drones. He started studying AI and Autonomous Machines in 2018. He initially started his project and began working on his vision with just a small drone, but it failed at the sea. However, the failure has been the biggest inspiration and motivation in developing something better for the drones.
