New York City, New York Sep 15, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - When the corona-virus prompted states to order residents to stay at home in March last year, unemployment surged around the country as huge parts of the economy slowed or stopped. Soon after, there were calls for charitably inclined companies to accelerate any giving they were planning to do.
The needs were urgent. Virus-related charities and social service agencies, like food banks, were thrust into an immediate role whose size and scope they were not prepared for. At the same time, arts organizations and other non-profit groups that depend on sales of tickets to their shows and productions suddenly had no audience.
JC Moore & Associates, A New York law firm, stepped up to the plate in their local community of New York. Three JC Moore & Associates members took to the streets with a truck full of masks, bottled water and hand sanitizer. This was a small part of the JC Moore bigger plan to improve the charity they have been offering in this time of need along with adding extra to their usual avenues of charity donations.
Geoff Johnson who works for JC Moore & Associates as a public relations officer/ marketing guru said the following;
“It has been very satisfactory to help people in need, especially those local to our business. Organising such an effort required great planning and was difficult to implement due to having to follow strict public restrictions that were in place. We drove around to spots most affect by Covid and provided what we could. I am very grateful to have co-workers who are dedicated to helping others around them”
JC Moore & Associates are not the only company who has ramped up their charity work since the Covid outbreak. There has been a massive amount of community spirit from businesses small to large.
