The event takes place on February 21, 2020, at the Ogilvy Chocolate Factory.
Pratt conducted the world’s first live cryptocurrency auction of a multi-million-dollar luxury home, is a co-founder of blockchain community-focused film fund Mogul Studios, and CEO of James Pratt Auctions Group. His auction clients include some of the biggest celebrities in the world alongside high-profile figures in politics, technology, and media.
“Looking back on my life, I find that —the bigger the adversities I faced— the greater my later success,” said Pratt. “In 2008, I was down to my last $15 away from friends and family to help and had little to work with. It was at this point I fell into auctioneering by default.
“I was very lucky in that, however tough things were at that point, there was always at least one person standing behind me, encouraging me, and giving me an opportunity.
I worked hard with what I had and turned that adversity into a learning experience that would pay dividends later in life. I also learned the importance of encouragement, encouraging people is life-changing.
Pratt today is a leading international businessman and auctioneer who handles some of the most expensive homes in the world, including recently auctioneering a $190 million-dollar home with 17 bedrooms and 3 indoor pools.
