In 2010, Dr. Brubaker participated in an ophthalmology medical mission and disaster relief following the earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. One of his fondest memories is when he fit an elderly woman with her first pair of reading glasses and saw the delight on her face when she could read her pocket bible again.
