Ramy Issac is an Israel-born architect who moved to New York in the 80s and became a leading name among the most renowned New York architects.

New York City, New York Feb 3, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - Ramy Issac started his career working in Emory Roth & Sons. Ramy Issac worked as a project manager and designed some of the most famous NYC buildings, including 375 Hudson Street, the famous G7 Headquarters, and many other mega-structures. He started his architectural firm in New York City called Issac & Stern Architects in 1988. Today, Issac & Stern has become a well-known name among the top architecture firms in NYC

Here is a look at some of the earliest projects of Issac & Stern from where the journey started:

50 Clinton Street

The project located on Clinton Street is among the earliest projects of Issac & Stern. The project design consisted of an articulated red brick façade and large casement windows to blend perfectly with the neighborhood aesthetics. The historicist-minded construction of the building has an elegant style and a timeless appeal in its architecture. The building is designed to reinvent the historic palette of industrial and residential buildings at the turn of the century. The emerald marble and a patterned French limestone floor in the lobby, accentuated by dramatic lighting and a crystallized glass reception desk, give it a sense of sophistication.

1007 Atlantic Avenue

The project located at 1007 Atlantic Avenue is a mixed-use development on the northwest fringe of Bed-Stuy. It is one of the earliest residential establishments designed by Issac & Stern. It features a brick veneer and large exterior windows to match the neighborhood’s industrial surroundings. The penthouse levels with terraces are constructed with gray, shaded brick. The building covers an area of 42,056 square feet with 7,702 square feet dedicated to retail space on the ground floor, and the rest comprise 50 residential units, 20% of which are affordable housing.
