International Nova teamed up with local dog to promote Lifeline Animal Project’s " Dog For A Day "

Atlanta, Georgia Jul 19, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - Musician and actor International Nova recently provided Rainy, a Fulton County dog, with all sorts of wonderful experiences, thanks to the “Dog for The Day” program offered by LifeLine Animal Project, a non-profit animal welfare organization that manages animal shelters in Fulton and DeKalb counties along with providing animal enforcement for Fulton County.

One of its popular programs is “Dog for The Day,” which allows people to borrow one of the pets for a few hours.

This program provides dogs with a fun experience away from the shelter and also gets them seen by potential adopters. It can also be a useful opportunity for someone who loves dogs and may not have the ability to own one, or for someone considering pet adoption who wants to learn more about fun things to do around town.

In International Nova’s case, “Dog for The Day” was a chance to educate the community about LifeLine Animal Project’s programs and how easy it is to adopt.  Earlier this year, he was invited to be an official Ambassador for LifeLine, an honor he was delighted to accept.

During his “Dog for the Day,” he was partnered with Rainy, a 5-year-old pit, one of several dogs currently available for adoption.

They spent much of the day playing at Piedmont Park, a scenic location that’s home to one of Atlanta’s favorite off-leash dog parks.

Then it was off to the Whole Dog Market, a popular retailer known for quality food, treats, and supplies.

Rainy enjoyed a smoked turkey wing and a Puppuccino at Dancing Goats Coffee to end his special day.

The whole experience was enjoyable, and International Nova had a good time talking to people about LifeLine and the need for adoption. Many asked to have their picture taken with Rainy, and the day was broadcasted live through International Nova’s Instagram feed.

LifeLine began managing the Fulton and DeKalb shelters in 2013, a time when dogs were frequently euthanized for space and resource reasons. Today, the FultonAnimalServices shelters have a no-kill policy, and adoption is encouraged as well as spaying and neutering.

LifeLine also has expanded its foster programs, which provide temporary homes for animals until they are adopted. It also offers low-cost or free surgeries such as spaying and neutering, along with free veterinary care and supplies to owners.

In 2020, more than 8,800 homes were found for pets, and 1,809 lost pets were reunited with their owners.
