Marlborough, Massachusetts Aug 4, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - ScerIS Software Licensing Initiative Becomes Lifeline for Veterans
ScerIS, Inc., a provider of enterprise software solutions, has launched a mission-aligned initiative designed to help prevent veteran suicides. Through a powerful partnership with Trauma and Resiliency Resources, Inc. (TRR), ScerIS has turned its software licensing model into a funding engine for TRR’s Warrior Camp® - a clinical program with a proven 99.4% post-program suicide prevention rate.
“When I learned how many veterans and active-duty service members die by suicide each year, I was shaken,” said Jim Walckner, CEO of ScerIS. “And when I saw how profoundly effective TRR’s Warrior Camp® is, I knew we had to do more than write a check and admire their mission. We had to help sustain and grow it.”
The result is a unique licensing initiative in which 100% of net proceeds from software licenses are paid directly to TRR, ensuring Warrior Camp® can continue offering its life-saving programs free of charge and expand to serve even more veterans in need.
“Every license sold becomes an act of service,” said Walckner. “We’re not just helping organizations improve their operations. We’re helping save the lives of those who served.”
Funds from this initiative support TRR’s planned expansion to a permanent healing retreat on 226 acres in Chatham, New York, as well as funding operational expenses for the ongoing delivery of clinical programming proven to resolve moral injury and restore hope in veterans and active-duty personnel.
Why This Matters
- More than 8,000 veterans and active-duty service members die by suicide each year — that’s over 150 lives lost every week.
- TRR’s Warrior Camp® delivers one of the highest post-program survival rates in the nation, offering clinically proven, trauma-informed care.
- This initiative provides a sustainable, royalty-based funding model — no donations required, just purposeful business engagement.
ScerIS is calling on organizations nationwide to turn routine purchases into meaningful action aligning procurement with purpose to help address the veteran suicide crisis.
