Today, Rebecca serves as a Clinical Coordinator and weekend night shift charge nurse at Novant Health’s Presbyterian Medical Center, a Level II trauma facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, she oversees operating room operations during critical overnight hours, leading interdisciplinary teams of nurses and surgical technologists through emergency and urgent surgical procedures. Her responsibilities include ensuring the highest standards of sterile technique, patient safety, and clinical efficiency while managing complex and high-pressure situations.
Known for her calm and decisive leadership, Rebecca has earned the trust and respect of physicians, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and colleagues who rely on her expertise and sound judgment during some of the most challenging moments in patient care.
Throughout her career, Rebecca has worked across the country as both a travel nurse and charge nurse, gaining valuable experience in trauma centers, outpatient surgery centers, and hospital systems in Colorado, Georgia, Virginia, and North Carolina, as well as internationally. This diverse background has provided her with a broad perspective on healthcare delivery and strengthened her ability to adapt, lead, and collaborate in a variety of clinical settings.
Equally passionate about education and mentorship, Rebecca regularly teaches and precepts nurses on her shift, helping prepare the next generation of perioperative professionals to succeed in the fast-paced environment of weekend night trauma surgery.
