The multi award winning film by Alessandro Negrini is Official Selection in competition at New Delhi Film Festival.

London, United Kingdom Mar 22, 2021 (Issuewire.com)  - The multi-award-winning film Tides will have its Indian premiere later this month. The film, directed by Italian Alessandro Negrini, is the Official Selection in the competition at New Delhi Film Festival.

The film shot in Derry, Northern Ireland, has recently won another international award in South Carolina. Since its release, Tides has achieved huge success in the festival circuit and praise from juries and critics, with a total of 15 international awards.

Tides is a film-reverie, where a river becomes the paradigm of any possible border and any imaginable trespass. The film, defined by critics as "docudream" because of its dreamlike, magical atmosphere, melting documentary genre and surrealism, won an incredible raft of awards around the world and tells the story of the majestic River Foyle in Derry. The film is directed by Derry based Italian director Alessandro Negrini, who previously directed the multi-award-winning film Paradiso about the Fountain estate.

Dop is renowned Norwegian Oddgeir Saether (Dop in David Lynch's Inland Empire), editor Belfast based Stuart Sloan.

Recently, Negrini has been selected by one of the most prominent Italian film critic, Adriano Aprà,  as part of  'Fuorinorma' (Out of the Norm), a project and a book selecting the best New Italian experimental cinema of the last 15 years.
