Dhamori Village, located in Tq Gangapur, District Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), experienced a momentous day filled with initiatives focused on empowerment, awareness, and healthcare. This remarkable event was made possible through the exceptional efforts of Dr. Yashwant Gade, President of IMA Aurangabad, and Dr. Anupam Takalkar, Honorary Secretary.
Operating under the initiative known as "Aao Gaon Chale," the duo orchestrated a series of impactful events that made a lasting impression on the community. As a testament to their dedication to women's empowerment, a state-of-the-art sanitary napkin vending machine was installed at the Anganwadi of Dhamori village. This groundbreaking initiative aims to provide convenient access to sanitary napkins, promoting menstrual hygiene and empowering women within the community.
The community actively engaged in the Vyasanmukti Granthadindi campaign and an enlightening Prabhatferi (morning procession) organized by the IMA team. These events aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and addiction while emphasizing the benefits of quitting. The talented team from the Woman Doctor's Wing (WDW) delivered an impactful street play that shed light on the importance of overcoming addiction, captivating the audience and leaving a profound impact.
Recognizing the significance of life-saving skills, IMA arranged comprehensive CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training for the villagers. Equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for emergency situations, the community is now prepared to save lives, thanks to these inspiring efforts.
The inauguration ceremony for these remarkable initiatives was graced by the esteemed MLA Mr. Prashant Bamb, further emphasizing the importance of community-driven endeavors in creating a positive impact.
The Maha Mega Health Camp organized by IMA served as the highlight of the day, providing comprehensive medical treatment and diagnoses to the community, ensuring their well-being. The camp offered essential tests and treatments free of charge, including hemoglobin testing, blood sugar testing, blood pressure testing, vision testing, and the availability of bone density and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) machines. This ensured that everyone, regardless of their financial status, received the necessary care.
