Durham, North Carolina Sep 30, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Independent electronic music artist iLLOCYBiN is exploring the relationship between sound, consciousness and creative expression through a new musical project described as a love letter to higher consciousness.
Drawing from 16 years of experience in the rave scene, iLLOCYBiN brings a distinctive musical perspective shaped by a background as a guitarist, singer, lyricist and saxophonist. This combination of musical influences informs an approach to electronic music that extends beyond traditional beats, focusing instead on creating immersive auditory experiences.
The artist describes their sound as “shroom music,” a personal term for the psychedelic vibes, atmospheric landscapes and auditory imagery that define their creative direction. Through electronic production, iLLOCYBiN builds sonic environments designed to transport listeners into different emotional and imaginative spaces.
The current project represents a deeper exploration of these ideas, serving as a musical expression of appreciation for higher consciousness. Rather than limiting the experience to conventional song structures, iLLOCYBiN focuses on the atmosphere, feeling and imagery that music can evoke.
With a creative philosophy rooted in experimentation and personal expression, the artist continues to explore how electronic music can bring together sound, emotion and the imagination.
iLLOCYBiN's artistic identity is summed up in the phrase: “Beats so cold, they'll make you iLL.”
Reflecting on a recent opportunity to share their music, the artist adds: “He was super kind and encouraging regarding my music when he approached me and really seemed eager to help me, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity.”
As iLLOCYBiN continues developing this musical vision, the focus remains on creating experiences that encourage listeners to explore sound beyond the ordinary and connect with music on a deeper level.
