Joliet, Illinois Dec 21, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Joseph Awinongya Jr has been boxing since the age of 5 and is known for being trained in the sweet science of boxing. His father, Joseph Awinongya Sr., a former Don King fighter, has been training his son since he started.
Joseph Awinongya Jr. aka Jojo won the 2022 USA National Championship at Lubbock, TX, making him #1 in the USA. Joseph defeated Aldo Blancas in the finals after fighting against David Lona in the semifinals and Yoell Cooper in the first fight. Now, he will represent the USA and travel with Team USA to tournaments and training camps around the USA and abroad. He is 15 yrs old and is attending Joliet Junior College full-time, pursuing a nursing degree. Jojo has won several championships making him a 3x USA Boxing National Champion, 3x Junior Olympics Champion, 3x Silver Gloves Champion, and 1x Eastern Qualifier Champion. There are other titles he held as well but those are the main ones.
