Ahmedabad, Gujarat Oct 12, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Nikunj Vaghasiya, a Minor student in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at IIT Mandi (CCE) and Founder of Softcodex, has developed “SpectraOral” — an advanced AI-powered early oral cancer detection tool designed to identify lesions and abnormalities at an early stage using deep learning and image-based analysis.
The project, created under the research and education initiative AI for All, uses a machine learning model trained on oral lesion datasets to recognize potential precancerous patterns with high accuracy. The system aims to assist dentists, students, and healthcare workers in both rural and urban India by enabling quicker screening through a simple image upload interface.
> “SpectraOral is designed as an assistive tool for medical professionals, not a replacement,” said Nikunj Vaghasiya, who is continuing his studies in AI and Data Science while building real-world health tech applications from Gujarat.
“Our vision is to raise awareness about early diagnosis and make AI technology accessible for public health.”
