kolkata, West bengal Mar 21, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced the winners of the Social Impact Awards, recognising the businesses, corporate foundations, and civil society organisations that are making a positive impact on society at a national level. The Indian Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Consultivo, a leading sustainability, and ESG consulting firm, as the knowledge partner for the awards.
The awards aim to acknowledge and celebrate the developmental initiatives that have contributed significantly to the betterment of society.
Consultivo supported ICC in developing the selection and evaluation criteria, evaluating the entries, and promoting the awards. Saikat Basu, CEO of Consultivo, has been a jury member of the awards over the years.
This year, a total of 70 CSR projects across India participated in the awards, which is a significant increase from the previous years. The entries were evaluated based on the project framework, output, outcome, and impact of the CSR initiatives, and the winners were selected by an independent panel of judges.

The ICC Social Impact Awards is a coveted nation-level award. It was open to all businesses, regardless of their size, sector, or location and organisations could apply in ten thematic areas.
The winners of the awards were honoured at a ceremony held on 16 March 2023. The event was graced by the presence of the honourable Cabinet Minister for Industries, Commerce & Enterprises and Dept. of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare of the Govt. of West Bengal, who handed over the trophies and certificates of recognition to the winners and achievers.
The day was packed up with technical sessions on "Measuring Impact - The Success of CSR." Saikat Basu, the CEO, of Consultivo, hosted as the session chair with a diverse panel. The panelists included Mr. Anurag Pratap, the Director & Head of CSR at Capgemini Technology, Mr. Jagjeet Singh Kandal, the Country Head of IDH, Dr. Dopankar Saharia, the Senior Director of TERI, Ms. Sujata Sen, the CEO of Future Hope, Dr. Y Suresh Reddy, the Director of SRF Foundation.
The second technical session on "Emergence of Sustainability in CSR - A paradigm shift" was chaired by Dr. Amit Thakur, the Head of CSR & Sr. Fellow at TERI. The panelists included Mr. Arun Sundaresan, the Co-fund Manager & Head of Nippon Life India Asset Management, Mr. Nixon Joseph, the CEO of CLT India, Mr. Rishi Pathania, the Head of CSR at UPL Ltd, and Mr. Pritesh Shah, the Onshore Head of HSE, CSR, Sustainability at L&T Energy Hydrocarbon.
A social impact benchmarking report was also published by ICC and Consultivo.
