Holt Celebrates the Most Wonderful Time of Year.

#HoltisOpen

Norwich, Norfolk Nov 30, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - A twinkling townscape, Christmas window displays, feast of independents, a treasure hunt and more are happening this festive season, Love Holt announced today. Holt will welcome residents and visitors eager to safely experience their favourite traditions with family and friends by offering a variety of festive experiences.

Holt Lights

The much-loved lights are back this year with sparkling in the trees, along the gables, gutters, and roofs of buildings throughout the town. The whole of the town centre is lit up every day to Wednesday 6 January with the glow of thousands of festive lights.

Treasure Hunt

A treasure hunt is a part of the festive experience this year. Holt is partnering with Colin, owner of The Red Dot Gallery to bring Horace McHorace and The Mysterious Pearls of Wisdom Treasure Hunt to the town starting 10 December ‘till 10 January. A work of fiction tells of piracy on the seas of Norfolk and the hidden hoard of 1,000 golden £ coins. As the tale unfolds, it becomes apparent that the treasure can be found somewhere in Holt. A tie-breaker will ensure that no one can cheat their way to victory! Entry forms are available in town from 10 December.

Retail

We have seen many shops opening in recent months, joining the eclectic mix of over 150 independent shops and boutiques in Holt, many of which will be open every Sunday in December.

Make Holt

Fresh Artisan Makers’ Markets founder Aviva Leigh has opened a new concept store at Shirehall, Shirehall Plain. Make Holt showcases unique, curated and timeless works crafted in East Anglia and sees over 30 local Makers being showcased. Originally the Holt courthouse, the store's interior features exposed brick and flint walls as well as original paneling.

Holt’s popularity has generated a resurgence of families relocating to the area from the larger urban centres with Greshams School seeing a big rise in UK pupil enrolment.

Throughout the season, Holt shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and lodging’s will have additional events and experiences specific to their business. For more information visit  www.loveholt.com.
