ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Jean-Marie Pierre began writing during his early high school years in 1975. With academic foundations in Accounting and Management, he spent over a decade (1978–1990) teaching Mathematics, French, Haitian History, and Social Studies. Initially writing in French and later in Haitian Creole, Pierre refined his linguistic expertise at L’Institut Français d’Haïti before immigrating to the United States in 1991.
Now based in New York City, Pierre further expanded his intellectual pursuits at York College in Queens, studying Information Systems Management while mastering the English language in both its formal and vernacular expressions. His multicultural and multilingual background deeply informs his philosophical voice and universal outlook.
