New York City, New York Sep 27, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Hoda Kotb is a prominent face in the news industry as she has working as a co-anchor on Today for 5 years now. But she has announced about leaving the company while emotionally expressing that she will be missing everyone. Although she will be a part of the NBC family, she will not be appearing on the daily shows of TODAY. While celebrating a happy moment on Sept. 26, celebrating her 60th birthday; Kotb expresses with teary eyes that she would not continue to work. She said, "I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60, and to try something new."
Hida Kotb further expressed her views and shared, "I remembered standing outside looking at these beautiful bunch of people with these gorgeous signs, and I thought, 'This is what the top of the wave feels like for me.' And I thought it can't get better, and I decided that this is the right time for me to kind of move on." More than retirement, the revered news anchor is willing to spend more time with her family, especially her daughters Hope and Haley who are currently 5 and 7 years old respectively. Being honest about life, Kotb expressed, "Obviously I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have."
She is not leaving immediately but will be in touch with TODAY till early next year. When it comes to NBC News, Hoda has been serving in the organization for around three long decades. She has been co-anchoring TODAY with Savannah Guthrie. She expressed her love and said, "We love you so much, And when you look around and see these tears, they're love. You are so loved. We don't want to imagine this place without you.” The TODAY family has also shared their emotional messages for Kotb.
