Helping Every Voice Live On: #FindDadsVoice Launches Global One-Minute Remembrance

The initiative, founded in Ontario, has expanded into a worldwide mission connecting families and helping them safeguard meaningful audio memories across borders and generations.

Orangeville, Ontario Dec 10, 2025 (Issuewire.com)  - A worldwide one-minute flashpost is taking place on December 20th at 8:00 PM EST as part of the growing global movement called #FindDadsVoice. The event invites people everywhere to post a photo, memory, or message about someone they love and include the hashtag #FindDadsVoice — all at the same time — to ensure that every voice and life leaves a lasting record.

#FindDadsVoice was founded by Orangeville resident Cathie Clarence, who began searching for any surviving recording of her father, Robert Edward Lane Clarence, after his passing. While she remembers his final moments — the warmth of his back, the smell of his skin, the touch of his hand — she realized that she could no longer recall the sound of his voice. That realization sparked a mission to protect the voices and stories of others before they disappear.

“What started as me trying to hear my dad again has become a worldwide legacy movement,” Clarence said. “Everyone deserves to have their voice remembered — mothers, fathers, grandparents, siblings, children, friends… every single one.”

The movement has quickly expanded across Canada, the United States, and internationally, with families sharing photos, audio clips, and stories that preserve the memory of those they miss. The synchronized flashpost aims to unite the world in a collective moment of remembrance.

In tribute to her father’s battle against colon cancer, Clarence donates 100% of proceeds from her handmade Christmas ornaments and memory-preservation kits to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto to support colon cancer research.

“A voice holds the whole person in it,” Clarence said. “When we lose that sound, it can feel like losing them all over again. This movement is how we keep that part alive.”

The world has one minute to make sure every voice will always be heard — December 20th, 8:00–8:01 PM EST.
