New York City, New York Jun 21, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Guy Sands-Pingot is a decorated U.S. military serviceman currently in professional transition. He finished his time with the military as the director for human capital for the United States Army Reserves. This capped nearly 34 years of working as a logistics and relations specialist.
Guy Sands-Pingot began his collegiate studies at the City College of New York, majoring in Russian Studies. He continued post-graduate studies at Oxford University, Troy State University, St. Andrews University in the UK, and Fordham University, where he graduated as a commissioned infantry lieutenant with a master’s degree in political economics in 2003. Other degrees include an MA in strategic studies and an MS in international relations. Sands-Pingot went back to school at Creighton University and graduated in 2015 with a doctorate in interdisciplinary studies.
Guy Sands-Pingot had many roles with the military as a liaison, planning specialist, coordinator, administrator, trainer, and overseer to logistics operations and in the area of human capital. He held leadership roles as principal deputy chief of staff, Director of Human Capital, commanding general, and deputy inspector general. In these roles, he managed between 250 and 4,000 military and civilian personnel. He was responsible for budgets between $1.8 billion and $3.7 billion. Under his leadership, operations goals were met, and budgets were cut.
As a relations specialist, Guy served as international relations specialist and program integrator for the Military Stabilization Program for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also was chief of external relations plans and liaison to Bosnia and international relations administrator and strategic planner for the United Nations mission to Kosovo. He directed special operations and was a civil affairs director in Bosnia and Croatia.
Administratively, he was special access programs oversight officer for the Pentagon and Deputy Inspector General for SIGAR in Kabul, Afghanistan. There, he reported to Congress for all military and civilian projects. He set up the Geospatial Imaging Section, providing real-time information to Congress, the secretary of defence and the secretary of state for all projects in excess of $50 billion.
As an executive leader, he was Director of Human Capital for the USAR and managed personnel records, hiring and training, and oversaw several logistics operations.
