Guwahati, Assam Jun 23, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Guwahati based singer-songwriter Indy, aka Indrani Das, released her latest single 'Disappear' on World Music Day, 21st June 2025 alongwith a music video on YouTube.
Disappear is a song about the feeling of despair when you are burdened with self-doubt and the desire to escape from this stifled state of existence. The song has been written, composed and sung by Indrani, while the music has been produced by Amitabh Barooa and mixed and mastered by Siddharth Barooa and has been recorded at Lucid Recess Studio, Guwahati. The song has its roots in Alternative Rock with emo elements in its lyrics.
Indy is a singer-songwriter and an actor. She is the vocalist of InJoy (an acoustic band she started with her husband Pranjoy), and of Stage Fright (a cover band formed with her high school friends). She started her solo journey in 2024 when she released first single ‘Sweet Wonder Years’, a peppy pop number about friendship and nostalgia (a tribute to the 80s and 90s). With ‘Disappear' she continues her journey of self-discovery as an artist.
The music video, available on YouTube, has been created by Ekoda Productions. Directed by Priyanka Sohoria, with Maaruf Bin Rafique as the Director of Photography, editor and colourist, the video highlights the protagonist’s dejected state.
