Lulea, Norrbotten Apr 11, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Scheitan, the Swedish gothic rock band, returned to the music scene during 2023 with the three songs "Lost in Time", "Fire at dawn" and the Billy Idol cover "White wedding". In January 2024 the band released another single, titled "Believe". Now the band is announcing the release of a new album by the end of May and a live show in Athens to follow shortly after the album release.
Vocalist, guitarist & songwriter Pierre Törnkvist comments:
- The new album will be out on the 22nd of May. It will contain 8 songs of gothic rock music at it's very best. I think this album will be one of the highlights during 2024 for fans of the darker rock sounds. There was a lot of hard work and effort put into writing, recording and mixing this album and I think it will show in the final product.
The new album will be released by Greek independent label The Circle Music, based in Athens, Greece.
- The Circle Music was highly supportive directly from the restart of the band. I sent them the video for "Lost in time" and they were ready to sign us right away for an album.
As previously mentioned, the band will also perform live after the album release.
- Yes, we are looking to play live as much as possible. We will start with the release show for the album on the 15th of June in Athens, Greece and just get going from there. As of now we have a festival show booked in northern Sweden in August and are looking for some more opportunities to spread our dark gothic music around the globe. I think that for the next festival season we will have a lot more shows to announce.
The album will be released on both CD and vinyl, pre-orders have opened at the label website.
