Los Angeles, California Jan 31, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Hiking and outdoors enthusiast Nathan James was visiting South Africa to kick off his New Year, 2019. The visit to the Dark Continent was meant to him as a top-notch one more adventure off his lifetime bucket list.  The adventure almost came to an end however when 2 random gunshots almost hit the American tourist.  He was only saved by his fifty-something dollar Christmas gift, a T1 Tact Smartwatch with gorilla glass crystal.

“I was relaxed under a Sausage tree talking with my guide when one bullet hit the tree.  The other hit near my wrist and felt like a sharp whip, but I didn’t know what it was.   I figured it out later when I saw the entry holes on the Tree trunk,” says South Africa visitor.

The gunshots were not meant for the American tourist.  James was on an outdoor adventure in an area that’s known for hunting small game along with hiking and camping.  It’s likely the stray bullets came from distant hunters, looking to strike hare or small fowl.

The bullet did not hit the hiker but it did leave him shaken and bruised.  Pressure from the impact of the bullet left a bruise-mark on James’ wrist in the form of the watch casing. According to him, a local doctor said it’s surprising his carpus, ulna, nor radius bones were damaged by the male-targeted shots.  A direct-on hit might have had a totally different result.

“I love my tact watch.  I love my story from this trip. Not many people get to live with cool stories to tell and this is one more on my life,” continued James in a conversation with a South African news blogger.

The smartwatch that Nathan James wore, he now understands why the company calls it a ‘super durable tactical watch.’   Advertised as a military-grade wristwear for men, the T1 Tact watch has a military-inspired watch face crystal called “gorilla glass” that made James’ $60 purchase worth every penny and more.

When asked what were the coolest 3 experiences he had on his trip to South Africa with a laugh he says “I got to see Big game cats, Johannesburg is amazingly beautiful, and I now have the lucky watch.”
