Delhi, India Sep 21, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - BJP MP Gautam Gambhir today while wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 71st birthday also announced the opening of 4th Jan Rasoi in his parliamentary constituency of East Delhi.
3 Jan Rasoi’s, already operating in Gandhi Nagar, Ashok Nagar and Vinod Nagar in East Delhi, provide healthy meals to everyone only for a rupee and serve food to more than 4000 people on a daily basis.
“I have always felt that everybody has the right to healthy and hygienic food irrespective of caste, creed, religion or financial condition. It is saddening to see the homeless and destitute not being able to get even two square meals a day,” Gambhir said.
Some states run canteens that provide subsidised food to the needy but the national capital has no such facility where low priced good food is made available to people, Gambhir said in an earlier statement.
