Huntsville, Alabama Apr 25, 2025 (Issuewire.com)  - Attorney Hunter Garnett from Garnett Patterson Injury Lawyers had this to say: (Attorney Hunter Garnett released the following statement:)

“My firm has been retained to represent the Estate of Joey Malone Broom. Who was among the victims killed in this tragic incident that needlessly took place April 16, on Smith Lake during the Major League Fishing Tackle Warehouse Invitational Tournament. My team is taking every measure to discover the events that contributed to this deadly event. We are working closely with state and local authorities to investigate and preserve critical evidence that will shine light on what happened.

My clients, while suffering and mourning their losses, have not lost hope. (While mourning a profound loss, my clients have not lost hope. Their faith remains strong.) Their loss comes just days before Good Friday. Joey Broom knows the Lord and his family knows that he is in a better place. His salvation and eternity were secured when Christ died on the cross.”

Mr. Joey Malone Broom was a vibrant member of his community. An active member of Compassion City Church in Albertville, and council member of the Town of Snead. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and a huge Alabama Fan. (and a proud Alabama football fan.)

Joey Dylan Broom, on behalf of the family, gave the following statement:

“My father was the greatest man that I have ever known. He taught me everything that I know and most importantly he taught me the importance of knowing Christ. Although losing him early has hurt our family badly, I know that the angels in heaven are rejoicing as we mourn we rejoice that our father will spend eternity with Christ because he accepted Jesus as his savior and lord. We hope that God uses this tragedy to grow the Kingdom of Heaven and also to make our community a safer place”.

During this time of healing, the Broom family requests privacy. Any questions or inquiries should be directed to Garnett Patterson Injury Lawyers.
