He is Mr. Supriyo Banerjee, the Director of S-RIO EduTech.
Through his early college years, he started mentoring students preparing for competitive exams and he has never looked back since. Many odds came, as taking up tutoring at an early age could not be considered a foolproof profession. Having tried hands-on multiple sources of income for surviving alone, Mr. Supriyo Banerjee realized he was best at educating minds and helping learners understand concepts with clarity. Alas, the Indian education system requires a B.Ed degree before and above the knack of teaching, for certifying a teacher legible to teach in schools. Mr. Banerjee, fondly called Supriyo Sir by his dear students, did not have a B.Ed but he had a zeal to improvise his mentoring tactics to make learning easier and simplified for his students. Some good schools recognized his profound knowledge base and the cult personality in teaching and could not ask for more than his services.
Back in school days, the little Supriyo could not afford tuitions. His father (not a mathematician) sat down to help him solve problems he had difficulty in. He has grown to be a self-taught resilient man, with enormous prestige in the eyes of his students for him. He has helped countless students gain a solid understanding of Mathematics and rank among top students in college entrance examinations like JEE and WBJEE. He has mentored students to love Math, who once was frightened by its name. Step by step he built his strong expertise in mentoring over 18 years, heading departments in national institutes of repute.
While the Institutes in India are dividing students of varied conceptual strength, Professor, Mr. Banerjee still values and practices personalized attention to each student based on their level of understanding. Sir’s proven results each year are his accolades and his students his pride. In 2020, 35 students out of 37 students whom he had personally trained since 2018, all cracked JEE. He values knowledge and a thinking mind, and so he pledges to instill and invigorate these in every student with his guidance under S-RIO.
