Filling the Physical Storage Gap - J. Bradley Product Designs gets new Patent for RAID 5/6 PCB board

The Truly Portable RAID 5/6 Storage System the size of a standard Laptop can now be a reality

Los Angeles, California Aug 30, 2022 (Issuewire.com)  - J. Bradley Product Designs may have done what no one else has been able to do; making a truly Portable RAID 5/6 Storage System possible.

As we know, working remotely is quickly becoming the new norm. it seems that no one wants to go into an office anymore and most can’t blame them. Society has found that they can do just as much work, maybe more, without the distractions of an office environment, ie. the boss constantly hovering over them, while sitting wherever they want. And with that new norm, at least in the technology world, new hardware and software will accompany it. And one piece of hardware that has needed to exist but for some reason hasn't, especially for our new norm, is the Portable Raid 5/6 Storage System for use in the field. This would fill the gap between the Raid 0/1 storage units, which helps very little, and Cloud storage, which requires an internet connection.

For people like Film and TV editors who work with film crews in remote locations, they could do real-time Online editing to make sure the director got the shot he/she wanted. Content Creators, i.e. V-Bloggers, who work in the field would be able to do Online editing while feeling safe that they won’t lose their footage while getting that so Important and informative video uploaded and get on to the next one, because of the number of videos they upload and the number of views per video they get is how they make their money.  And for Scientists who need to do an analysis of large data sets while in the field, having a large Raid 5/6 storage system they could use on-site would speed up their work to a tremendous degree. And at the same time, they need to do this without the aid of a network because a lot of the place’s films are shot or scientists' work doesn’t have the internet. In all of these scenarios having a Portable Raid 5/6 Storage system would be critical to their success. But it does not exist! At least not to any real degree. Sure, there are some desktop boxes with a handle on top that some companies laughingly call, portable. But a real portable Raid 5/6 storage system isn’t real, yet. However, this may be close to ending.

A newly designed PCB board, designed by J. Bradley Product Designs, has recently been granted a US Patent that would make building the portable Raid 5/6 storage unit missing link a reality. And not only is it portable, like the size of a standard laptop portable, but it will also have a whopping 16 to 32 TB of storage!

But why is it so hard to make a portable Raid 5/6 Storage Unit? One of the reasons is heat from the Hard Drives. However, set in a patent-pending enclosure made for it, this new board allows the heat from the SSDs to dissipate away from the board, into the enclosure, and out through holes or slots in said enclosure. This is because the SSDs don't sit on the board. That's one of its little secrets.

And according to the patent summary, this portable Raid 5/6 storage unit will sit under an existing laptop while working so no extra space will be needed. So, not only can one do Online editing or Scientific work like a pro, they can do it wherever they happen to be. And they can do it without the need for a Network connection as it connects directly to the laptop.

And he didn’t stop there. The designer of the board, Joseph Bradley of J. Bradley Product Designs, has also secured a Trademark name for the Raid system. It is called The PROS Unit. That is short for Portable Raid Online Storage Unit. In the future, that name, The PROS Unit, will probably be the ubiquitous name for all such portable Raid systems. The one everyone else will compare theirs to.

J. Bradley Product Designs has put together an IP Package that includes the Patent for the Board, the Patent Pending for the enclosure and the Trademark name. They are looking for the right company to sell or lease the IP Package to and get this much-needed Portable Raid 5/6 storage unit, The PROS Unit, made, brought to market and finally fill the Physical Storage Gap.
