The Rescue Ranch is a fictional farm featuring typical farm animals such as horses, cows, barn mice, and rabbits, along with rescued animals from the zoo, including lions, tigers, bears, and giraffes.
The series began when an old man named Grandpa Eddie learned that the country zoo he visited as a boy was closing its doors. He decided to rescue the animals and bring them to Rescue Ranch, creating a unique environment where animals that would normally never become friends—such as a giraffe and a barn mouse or a frog and a hog—formed deep bonds. The animals depend on one another, showcasing friendship, honor, teamwork, and the Golden Rule.
