Exec Chair A Million Books for A Million Kids Joins Sherrill Enterprises

Sherrill Enterprises is Proud to Announce Amari Sherrill as Chief Financial & Marketing Officer of the Literacy and Publishing Division

New York City, New York Jul 18, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Executive Chair of A Million Books for A Million Kids joins Sherrill Enterprises as Chief Financial & Marketing Officer of Publishing and Literacy Division.

Amari Sherrill, Junior at Wake Forest University, currently studies Mathematical Business with a minor in Advanced Spanish Language and Culture. As a diligent and involved member of the Wake Forest Community, Amari maintains a high academic standing on the university’s Dean’s List, and devotes a majority of his time outside of the classroom, as a leader in his fraternity as the Philanthropic Chair, which has raised nearly $30,000 for cancer research initiatives and various local charities during the 2018-2019 school year.

Amari will be spending the summer bringing the Independent Publishing company into the 21st Century and breathing a breath of new energy to the Literacy Campaign.  He will also be partnering with his sister, Imani Sherrill, who is spearheading the Literacy Campaign and will be responsible for developing the Publishing and Literacy Division’s social media presence.

The A Million Books for A Million Kids Literacy Campaign features a title published by Sherrill Enterprises; From the Boys & Girls Club to the NBA by Lowes Moore! A story of a young man’s struggle with illiteracy and life in Urban America; ultimately prevailing against illiteracy, graduating from college and making it to the NBA!

We are very excited Amari has decided to become a part of Sherrill Enterprises and it is my hope he and his sister will continue to build up the Publishing Division and the Literacy Foundation to a higher level of integrity and recognition!

Although we are just a small operation, we never entertain “Urban Fiction” or titles with negative perspectives. Maybe that is why we are still a small operation.

However, Sherrill Enterprises has always taken pride in the types of stories we have published, like One of Thousands; a story of a Sanitation Worker who went down to the World Trade Center on 9/11 and has recently died from the respiratory illness, or the story of a young man from Urban America who always dreamed of becoming a Firefighter when there weren’t any Black Firefighters and eventually became Commissioner of the Fire Department!

These are the types of stories Amari Sherrill will be taking charge of and responsible for bringing into the 21st century for students and adults alike to read!
