The 2019 Oregon Teacher Inservice Bulletin is the most comprehensive guide to finding all the professional development courses, conferences, seminars, events and workshops for Teacher Inservice Day, and throughout the 2019-2020 school year. Primary, elementary, secondary and special ed teachers, along with principals, paraprofessionals and other educators can view the Bulletin here: https://www.youthchg.com/oregon-teacher-inservice-bulletin/

This year’s Inservice Bulletin includes a huge array of information-packed workshops offering essential state-of-the-art resources to educators who face ever-increasing challenges successfully instructing today’s K-12 students. Events listed in the 2019 Oregon Teacher Inservice Bulletin provide educators with critical, updated information that may not have been included in most teachers’ university preparation and training. Events this year include offerings that focus on school violence, transgender students, problem student behavior, trauma-informed teaching, multisensory teaching, singing, early childhood methods, filmmaking, anxiety, autism, physics, hip hop, science and much more.

The Bulletin’s professional development inservice opportunities are designed for educators working with students in grades Pre-K through 12. Teachers, principals and other educators can earn college undergraduate and graduate credit and Professional Development Units (PDUs) through many of the events.

Originally created and published by the Oregon Department of Education in print and mailed to schools, the 2019 Oregon Teacher Inservice Day Bulletin has been published and distributed electronically by a community training organization. Youth Change Workshops, based in Woodburn, Oregon, is one of the community groups that has taken responsibility for publishing the official Oregon Teacher Inservice Day Bulletin over the past few decades after budget cuts made the use of public funding problematic. Youth Change Workshops donates staff time and resources as a community service to Oregon educators. For the past thirty years since the Department of Ed transitioned the Bulletin to community education providers, no taxpayer dollars have been used to develop, publish or disseminate the Bulletin. Youth Change Workshops is a longtime national provider of live, on-site and online workshops, and also publishes posters, books and ebooks for teachers and counselors.

Teachers, school counselors, principals, paraprofessionals and other educators can download the Teacher Inservice Bulletin at https://www.youthchg.com/oregon-teacher-inservice-bulletin/. Workshop, conference and course providers can add their listings to the Bulletin for free at https://www.youthchg.com/oregon-inservice-bulletin. Principals and other Oregon K-12  administrators are emailed the Bulletin twice each fall and are asked to print and post the Bulletin or email it to their staff.

Youth Change's workshop for Oregon Inservice Day is Breakthrough Strategies to Teach
and Counsel Troubled Youth Workshop and scholarships are available. This course is held Oct. 10-11, 2019 and offers 200 solutions for problems like behavior issues, underperforming, work refusal, defiance, disrespect, bullying, truancy, delinquency, anxiety, trauma and more.
