Falls Church, Virginia Jan 9, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Eric Schmidt, the former Google CEO, has launched a new AI startup called Hooglee. The former CEO is also trying to create a social media platform that is also an AI video-generating platform. He started working on this project to ‘democratize video creation with AI’. As of now, it is coming to know that the platform is a lot of similar to TikTok. For that reason, now it is being considered as the potential competitor of TikTok. And that is what makes the launch of the platform even more exciting for everyone.
Currently, it is coming to know that the Hooglees’ website is a single landing page site. From the official site of Hooglee, it is mentioned that the mission of it is to ‘create innovative solutions that bring people together, simplify communication, and increase engagement’. Right now, Hooglee is willing to extend its partnership to Schmidt’s partner Sebastian Thrun. Previously, Thrun and Schmidt have been a partner for Google’s X division. Along with that, they were also a partner for the autonomous car company Waymo.
Sebastian Thrun also played a significant part in Eric Schmidt’s military startup project, named Eagle. Therefore, there might be a possibility that both of them come together for this new partnership. For this particular project of Hooglee, Schmidt has brought Meta-researchers for a better result. In this project, Bichen Wu is also a part who is helping in developing a text-based video generator.
Eric Schmidt started working on this project one year ago. Now, he is all ready to launch the AI video-generating platform. It is the very first AI project where he has personally put in a lot of effort after making a big investment. As of now, it is coming to know that Schmidt has invested more than $26 billion on this project. Hence, it can be said that something big is going to happen with this social media platform.
