Entrepreneur Distancing Instead of Social Distancing.

Partnering During a Pandemic

Sayreville, New Jersey Dec 15, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - 2020 will be a year to remember for many reasons, some more important than others. For Alpha Koroma Jr, 2020 has been an interesting journey. Koroma started his marketing and management company, “Out The Mud/ OTMxHoodRock”, partnered with “All Love Productions”, “New Jersey Film Makers Collaboration”, and ”10PRL Film Studios and Event Space ”, a creative studio space located in Long Branch, New Jersey.

“I’ve never wanted to be my own boss; I still don’t call myself a boss,” says Koroma, when reflecting on why he decided to go into business for himself, possibly at the worst time. “For me, the decision was awkward because I was laid off from my job about a month or so before the pandemic started. So, at the time, I wasn’t thinking about rushing to find a new job because I knew that many businesses wouldn’t be hiring, as several closed down or minimized services.”

Whether professionally or personally, Koroma makes and maintains connections with those around him. While those in-person connections halted for a while, the virtual world expanded. Koroma spent many late nights reading and brainstorming how he could help businesses and individuals grow by building their social media presence, and simultaneously connect them with others who can promote their cause. Koroma took his passion for connecting, and utilized his management and marketing experience to create Out The Mud/ OTMxHoodRock. “I felt like it all finally clicked. I was connecting with like-minded individuals with similar interests, who wanted to build together. I was motivated to work even when I was exhausted. That’s how I knew this was the real thing!” In a time where the world was so separated, Alpha was striving to bring people together!

“The Entertainment industry is a big one but it operates in tight circles. So, having a good professional network and building connections with others in the industry is something I’ve worked hard to achieve.” Koroma has been able to learn on the fly because of his friendship and professional relationship with actor Patrick Byas. You may have seen Byas on popular shows like: Billions, Blue Bloods, Persons of Interests, Chicago PD, Law and Order SVU, and Wu-Tang an American Saga, just to name a few. “Knowing Pat and just being able to get into places with him and meet other industry connected people was a bonus for me.” Koroma has also padded his management experience by becoming a business consultant to Byas. “We talk almost every day about his goals and the action steps he can take to progress as an actor.” Since working with Koroma, Byas has landed interviews in media outlets like: “The Source Magazine” and “Celeb Mix”, produced and acted in his first movie titled, “The Deal”, and is in the process of creating his next film. “We understand the recipe now, so we’re sticking to it.”

Koroma has been busy creating partnerships during the pandemic. Since partnering with “All Love Productions”, Koroma has picked up the title of Gaffer, in rapper CP Da Ruler’s video, “Rich.” Additionally, he was an assistant producer for artist Kid Dubai’s video, “BLACK”, which was picked up by global media outlet “World Star Hip Hop.” Koroma is also on Kid Dubai’s management team. “I’ve been able to connect with a diverse group of talented individuals and these relationships have given me the opportunity to learn and grow in various positions.”

“All Love Productions”, is owned by Daniel Boulos, who is the Director of Photography. Boulos also adds actor and movie director to his resume. In addition, he is the founder of the “New Jersey Film Collaboration”. “I speak with Danny every day; we connect, share our ideas, and build a game plan that will help the team get the best exposure”.  It is through his connection with Boulos that Koroma created his newest partnership with 10 PRL Studios.

Located in Long Branch New Jersey, “10PRL Studios” is an open creative space with potential to host and do multiple scaled events. “My first time going to 10PRL was when Danny and I volunteered to do production for the “New York Arab Orchestra.”  They performed a beautiful show to give support for the tragic events that had taken place in Lebanon. I was happy to participate once I knew it was for such a worthy cause.”  10PRL owners April Centrone and Kira Sanchez have sInce joined forces with Boulos’s “All Love Production” and Koroma’s “Out The Mud/OTMxHoodRock”. The companies and their founders created “Content Day”, in order to provide a safe environment for like-minded professionals to create content for their businesses. The first content day brought out musicians, models, hip-hop artists, photographers, and actors.

“I’m motivated by my vision and it has endless potential. I want to build a brand, not just a company and I want my brand to always be remembered as a beacon of positivity and motivation. That’s who I am and that’s who I’ve always been. Now that I work for myself, I need to promote myself.”
