Miami, Florida Dec 19, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - One of the entertainment industry's most important international accolades, the highly coveted Emmy Awards, was awarded to the award-winning Italian film composer Michele Josia for the symphonic piece "River of the last valley", recorded remotely with musicians from various nations.
The award received by the Roman composer is the twelfth received this year by the film industry.
The American conductor M ° Alberto Bade defined the symphonic piece "River of the last valley" as "a mixture of heroism and veiled sadness, of courage and triumph, which fully describes everything that is happening. I chose this composition as a reflection of the tragedy that the virus has caused but also of the resilience and courage that the European people are demonstrating in this terrible historical period ".
"I feel very honored to have had the opportunity to hear my composition performed by musicians from the United States, Spain, Poland, Mexico, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Venezuela, Romania, Argentina and to have received one of the most important awards of the global film industry, the Emmy Awards.
It was a privilege for me to work with an extraordinary Maestro like Alberto Bade and with all the musicians involved ”, said composer Michele Josia.
The piece is part of a docu-film entitled "United we Stand", in which musicians from all over the world reflect on the terrible experience of Covid-19.
Against all odds, Miami Dade College Orchestra students have joined forces with musicians from some of the leading international symphony orchestras.
By continuing to play together, despite the ongoing global health crisis, they managed to carry out the project.
Gloria Soto represents Michele Josia at the Max Steiner Agency, Inc. in Los Angeles, California.
