Muqdisho, Banadir Jan 9, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - The E-Somali Sports Federation, a non-profit organization, has partnered with Accord University to unveil the Accord E-Sports Club, marking a major step in the development of Somalia’s E-Sports scene. The official opening of the club will take place in January 2025, offering a foundation for a dynamic and competitive E-Sports community within the country.
Said Abdullahi Mohamud, President of the E-Somali Sports Federation, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying, "This partnership with Accord University is a clear demonstration of our commitment to building a strong E-Sports ecosystem in Somalia. Prof. Abdulkadir B. Mohamed, Vice-Chancellor of Accord University, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the university’s dedication to holistic student development. "We believe that integrating E-Sports alongside traditional sports and academics enriches our students' experiences," he said. "By including E-Sports and Chess in our extracurricular offerings, we aim to provide a well-rounded, engaging environment for our entire community."
