Edmonton, Alberta Nov 1, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Edmonton, Alberta, November 02, 2026. The Drumheller Festival of Lights will take place in downtown Drumheller on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Go Coach Charters, based in Sherwood Park, is accepting charter bus quote requests from groups planning to attend the event together.
The free, family-friendly festival marks the start of the holiday season in the Drumheller Valley, according to organizers. This year’s lineup includes live entertainment, wagon rides, cookie decorating, s’mores and glow stick stations, sponsored fire pits with giveaways and late-night shopping deals. Santa and the Grinch will attend, and the community Christmas tree will be switched on. Activities are spread across downtown; the organizer's map shows where.
Previous years of the festival have attracted visitors from outside Drumheller, including families travelling from Calgary. The Drumheller Mail reported hundreds of people at the 2025 event, including a flaming juggling show by Indigo Circus. In 2024, Drumheller Online reported that families came from Calgary through more than six inches of snow.
Late-November weather can be unpredictable, and a shared bus means one ride, one drop-off, and no one circling downtown for parking. Go Coach Charters also says one bus can lower fuel and parking costs.
“Plenty of people would rather arrive together than split up across cars. If a school, club, or team wants to be in Drumheller on the 21st, send us the details, and we will put a quote together.”
A quote request should include the pickup location, group size, and departure and return times. Groups can request a quote online, call 780-238-3866 or email info@gocoach.ca. Go Coach Charters is not affiliated with the festival.
