Singapore, Singapore May 16, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Dr Julian Ong Kian Peng, SAC Chairman, was exceptionally proud to grace the 30th Anniversary of Fuchun Secondary School in 2017 which was themed “The Stars are Bright”.
Dr Julian Ong felt like it was just yesterday that Fuchun Secondary School celebrated her 30th Anniversary in 2017, and Dr Julian Ong commented that an entire year had successfully come to fruition.
“I am sure that it has indeed been another busy and eventful year filled with exciting memories for Fuchun, and as I graced the Prize Presentation Day, themed “The Stars are Bright”, earlier this year, I had an opportunity to share in the special moments that were created”, he said gleamingly.
He recounted fond memories of his own secondary school days which evoked a sense of nostalgia.
“It was heartening to witness the heightened sense of achievement and pride that filled the school hall that morning,” remarked Dr Julian Ong with a sparkle in his eyes.
Recounting from his own experience, he added that “It is the moments such as these that students will remember and treasure far after they have graduated from school”.
Dr Julian Ong felt that the theme of the event was an apt one as it focused on celebrating the individual uniqueness of every Fuchun student and allows the star in each one to shine bright.
“One thing is evident to me on each of my visits to the school. The Fuchun family is a tight and cohesive one and here students and staff alike share a strong bond that transcends beyond the boundaries of the classroom and school hours. This camaraderie, that is one of the school’s core values, helps to see the school through challenges and strengthens the Fuchun spirit so that the school can continue to grow and shine”, he quipped.
Looking forward, Dr Julian Ong visualised more meaningful collaborations and fruitful platforms through which we can journey alongside the school as she continues to strive towards excellence.
