Edgewood-North Hill, Washington Nov 28, 2023 (Issuewire.com)  - Havard Alumni congratulates Dr. Christopher Hershey from USCG,  Brad Nix, Bradford Willke Jason Ogden from NPPD, and Karinda L Washington from DHS on being selected for the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Senior Executive Fellows program.

Altogether seven employees were selected from DHS — U.S. Coast Guard, National Protection and Programs Directorate, Science and Technology Directorate, Federal Protective Service, and DHS Headquarters — out of 69 participants from all over the world. The program is designed for top-level managers who aspire to be executives in all types of organizations, and a typical cohort includes between 70 percent and 80 percent of federal employees or military personnel.

Deputy Homeland Secretary Elaine Duke has designated October 2017 through September 2018 as DHS Leadership Year, a campaign that will highlight the values that characterize good leadership. The initiative also promotes the importance of selecting individuals with the right leadership skills and capabilities and developing leaders continuously throughout their careers.
