Newark, New Jersey Oct 13, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - Dr. Charise Breeden, Founder and CEO of The Road to the Hood, a higher education leader and researcher since 2015, has just announced the release of her first whitepaper on food insecurity among community college students in America.

The whitepaper, entitled “Research and Identification Equals Solutions” offers readers an examination of the food insecurities facing U.S.-based community college students before, during, and after the pandemic, and the most effective strategies campus administrators can employ to decrease negative effects on students while also leveraging existing resources to launch responsive food assistance programs.

“We must provide data-driven solutions to solve these issues. Our plans must be on purpose with purpose. As an administrator and researcher, I have seen the evidence concerning food insecurity among community college students up-close and personal. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, I want to help community college leaders understand what their students are likely experiencing.”

In her latest whitepaper Dr. Charise shares:

● three alarming statistics on the prevalence of food insecurity among students
● how to initiate campus-based research and identification, and
● five immediate actions college administrators and stakeholders can take to halt
the detrimental effects food insecurity

García (executive director at the Center for Community College Student Engagement), to inform campus leaders and laypeople of this pressing matter.
